Greg Alland Certified Master, Master Instructor of Kali Silat. Greg
Alland with practice over 28 years in Kali Silat, has conducted over one
thousand, seminars, workshops, demonstrations and lectures in Kali Silat
for businesses, organizations, schools, colleges and universities world
wide. He helped to start the development of Pekiti Tirsia in the
US, and Pekiti-Tirsia Germany. Sweden, England and Italy is
next. He sponsored a cable program, "The Martial Arts
Today" on NY cable television, produced 15+ videos on Kali Silat and owns
original tapes on Pekiti Tirsia, and Doce Pares and in Pencak Silat on
Lanka Empat by the late Suryadi Jafri from Indonesia. His 5
tape video support gives you the opportunity to learn the system of Philippine
/ Indonesian Martial Arts with the masters and grand masters, some with
over 50 years in Kali Silat. His seminars throughout Europe and the
US have been some are among the most well attended in history. In
Italy with as many as 180 people in one program and hundreds in several
others. Yet he manages to work with almost everyone, even under extreme
circumstances.
When

in this unusual art, he even founded a concept he calls SinaTirsiaWali.

In addition to his long heritage of Kali under
the respected name of Tortal, Grand Master Nene, treats Kali as a Combat
Art. He is the President of the Arnis (Kali) Martial Arts Federation
and he has inspired many students of Kali, including the Late Master Edgar
Sulite. Master Jerson 'Nene' Tortal is signatory to many well
known masters and grand masters in Kali, Arnis, Eskrima from Cebu, Manila
and Bacolod. He is the ranking family member and chief instructor
for the Tortal Family.
Foremost, a student since age 7 of his grandfather and great uncles, with over 53 years of practice and practical application, he is the single most responsible individual for training the Philippine Military. The Tortal family's proven methods where highlighted during WW2. The late Edgar Sulite spoke highly of the masters from Occidental Negros in his book, "Masters of Kali". Grand Master 'Nene' Tortal is one of many unique masters from Occidental Negros, but his delightful method of teaching is refreshing. His approach and genuine human interest makes learning this very difficult art, easy and enjoyable while getting a practical workout. He is serious business, having trained over 4,000 ROTC Cadets, Philippine Military Specialists, Police, Constabulary, special service protection teams, among a wealth of students, including judges, priests, men women and children from every walk of life.
